Job Description
The Central Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for providing equipment and instrumentation decontamination, packaging, sterilization, and distribution to patient care departments within the hospital. This role focuses on maintaining a clean and organized Sterile Processing Center. The position involves performing various tasks like breaking down instrumentation, performing quality control checks, and assisting with inventory management.
Requirements
- Education: HS Diploma or equivalent
- CRCST license required
- One year experience as Central Sterile Supply Aide desirable
- Understanding of aseptic technique and infection control
- Knowledge of surgical instruments
- Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting and standing
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
