Job Description
Nuvance Health is seeking an experienced Outpatient Coder II to accurately code and abstract medical records for reimbursement, compliance, and statistical reporting. The role involves trauma and surgical coding, ensuring data accuracy and adherence to coding guidelines. Candidates should be proficient in ICD-10-CM, CPT-4, and modifier usage.
Requirements
- Certification in CPC, COC, CCS, or CCS-P
- Training in medical terminology, ICD-10-CM diagnosis, CPT procedure, and E/M coding
- Experience coding trauma and surgical encounters, including emergency departments and critical care
- Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT-4, and modifier usage
- Minimum 2 years of acute care and outpatient coding experience in trauma surgery
