Job Description
NV5 is seeking an experienced Electrical Consulting and Design Engineer to join their growing MEP team. The position involves executing projects across diverse sectors, including high-rise, institutional, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, and mission-critical facilities. Candidates should have strong background in electrical system design and analysis, client engagement, and a deep understanding of NEC, NYC Electrical Code, NFPA 70E, and energy codes.
Requirements
- Evaluate and modify existing building electrical systems.
- Conduct site surveys and troubleshoot legacy systems.
- Prepare electrical drawings and specifications.
- Perform power studies and hazard assessments using tools such as ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower.
- Demonstrate knowledge of NEC, NYC Electrical Code, NFPA 70E, and energy codes.
- LEED AP or other sustainability certifications preferred.
