Job Description
We are looking for an experienced full-time groomer to join our passionate team at Overland Animal Hospital and Pet Resort. Our ideal candidate will be able to groom all breeds, especially larger breeds, customer service oriented and patient with both pets and people.
Requirements
- 6 months of grooming experience and customer service
- A demonstrated passion for animals.
- Ability to work comfortably with animals including anxious ones.
- Profound knowledge of different dog breeds and their grooming requirements.
- Skillful in handling animals calmly, compassionately and safely.
- Ability to stand for at least 2 hours and lift animals over 50 pounds.
- Willingness to learn new techniques and skills.
- Ability to identify potential health or skin conditions.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Physical stamina to handle and groom large or unruly animals over 50 lbs.
