Staff R&D Mechanical Engineer

We're looking for a Staff R&D Mechanical Engineer to drive technical design and development, coordinate with internal production and external suppliers, and ensure quality and manufacturability. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, 8+ years of relevant engineering experience, and knowledge of ASME BPV design and applications.

Requirements

• Drive technical design and development to launch new products timely
• Coordinate with internal production and external suppliers to ensure quality and manufacturability
• Supervise prototyping and testing with some hands-on support as needed
• Drive ASME compliance for piping and pressure vessels and promote standard adoption in new applications
• Define testing protocols and supervise completion of internal testing, external certifications, and mentor junior engineers
• Lead Design Engineering support of supplier development efforts to meet design, quality, and productivity requirements
• Work to continuously improve processes, improve collaboration, reduce risk, and reduce product development cycle time
