OFFICE ENGINEER III

The Asset Renewal Office Engineer reports to the Asset Renewal Program Manager and will oversee the administrative processes and construction requirements of multiple small projects at the same time.

Requirements

• Experience with the design and construction industries, administrative processes and requirements.
• Experience with payment applications, including quantity dispute resolution.
• Excellent skills in documentation and file organization and maintenance.
• Experience reviewing and responding to RFI'S.
• Experience reviewing submittals for compliance with the Contract Documents and.
• Experience and proficient in reading design drawings and specifications.
• Ability to communicate and interact with the other members of the Asset Renewal team and LAWA departments, City Dept.’s., contractors and Airlines.
• Available to work modified schedule as construction activities require.
• Experience with starting up a project and on boarding the contractor or design-builders.
• Experience closing out projects, including: operations and maintenance manuals, payment releases, punch-list documentation and closeout, final pay applications, warranty and training requirements, etc.
• May be called upon to take meeting-minutes and distribute to attendees.
• Support the Construction Manager and Program Manager in other tasks and duties.
• Experience constructing work on an occupied and operating campus.
• Coordinate and implement Area Shutdown Requests (ASR’s), and Utility Shutdown Requests (USR’s).
• Should have experience working on phased and complex Public Agency projects in an occupied setting.
