Job Description
ACCEL Schools is seeking a Virtual Algebra I Teacher to provide a superior education for students in a rigorous and nurturing classroom environment. The teacher will be responsible for delivering live lessons via web conference, monitoring student progress, and collaborating with the Principal to create Progress Reports. The position requires a current Ohio teaching license, knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards, and a high level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment.
Requirements
- Current Ohio teaching license in Algebra I
- Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards
- Two years' experience teaching preferred
- High quality written and verbal communication skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word and Outlook
- Ability to properly manage confidential information
- Ability to stand for up to 90 minutes at a time
- Ability to supervise students in all school settings
- Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks
- Experience working in a multi-cultural setting preferred
