Job Description
OKAPI:Orbits is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join their team and develop and maintain a scalable backend powering mission design, Space Situational Awareness, Space Traffic Management, Flight Dynamics, and Space Traffic Coordination solutions. The role involves designing microservices, data processing pipelines, and collaborating with space engineers to ensure reliable and robust software for satellite operators. Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Several years of professional experience in backend software development with Java
- Good working knowledge of Python
- Solid understanding of microservice architectures
- Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs
- Strong grasp of software architecture principles
- Hands-on experience with testing
- Familiarity with Git-based workflows and DevOps practices
- Experience with observability tools
- Knowledge of database technologies
