Job Description
Okta is seeking a passionate and experienced Software Security Engineer to join their Security Engineering team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining security solutions to harden Okta's frameworks and infrastructure, focusing on cybersecurity, privacy, and proactive defense-in-depth measures. The engineer will act as a liaison between the Security and Engineering teams, driving innovation and leading security initiatives.
Requirements
- 7+ years of development experience in designing and implementing software systems in Java
- 3+ years of work experience in designing and implementing security solutions for applications and distributed systems
- Experience mitigating OWASP Top 10 attacks
- Strong understanding of Test-Driven development, Secure SDLC, and secure code reviews
- Familiarity with cloud service providers like AWS and GCP
- B.S or M.S in Computer Science or related fields
