Job Description
The Laboratory Technical Assistant performs phlebotomy and specimen collection techniques, manages patient orders, and applies patient safety standards. The position requires proficiency in phlebotomy collection techniques, patient management, and waived level testing. The job also involves processing specimens, maintaining a safe work environment, and assisting with new employee orientation and training.
Requirements
- Medical terminology preferred
- Computer data entry skills preferred
- Phlebotomy experience/certification preferred
- Previous laboratory experience preferred
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire
