Job Description
The Architecture Team at a large company is seeking a Pragmatic Software Architect to focus on their Data Platform architecture. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to balance governance and data access while enabling complex analysis and decision-making, and leading teams to deliver customer outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality products and a strong technical background in data processing and architecture.
Requirements
- Deep technical leadership and development experience of distributed/scalable systems and high-volume transaction applications.
- Hands-on programming experience in Scala, Python, and other object-oriented programming languages.
- Expert in using Big data technologies like Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, Real Time streaming, Structured Streaming, Delta Lake, Data mesh architecture.
- Hands-on working experience in cloud infrastructure like AWS. Able to scale code and deploy applications in the public cloud using technologies like AWS, Lambda, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Working knowledge of tools like Databricks, Jupyter notebooks, source control, CI/CD, and DataDog.
- Expert in Agile development practices and Software Quality Assurance process.
- Experience in utilizing AI/ML models to deliver business outcomes based on data
- Proven experience in utilizing AI/ML models to deliver business outcomes based on data
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Focus on development, architectural leadership, teamwork.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to establish great relationships with managers and team
- Basic Qualifications: BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering and 15+ years experience in software development.
