Accounting Manager for Mid-size European Company

We are seeking a dedicated Accounting Manager with a strong background in European accounting standards to lead our accounting operations and provide strategic financial oversight. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with midsize companies (100–1,000 employees) in Europe, a deep understanding of European financial regulations, and excellent English skills.

Requirements

• Oversee all accounting functions, including GL management, monthly and annual closings, and financial reconciliations.
• Prepare and review accurate financial statements, management reports, and forecasts in compliance with IFRS and/or local GAAP standards.
• Analyze financial performance and identify opportunities for financial improvement.
• Lead and coordinate the budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with finance and other departments.
• Ensure compliance with European financial regulations, VAT requirements, and other statutory reporting obligations.
• Implement and monitor internal controls, conducting periodic reviews and audits.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals.
• Communicate financial insights and deliver actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
