AspenTech is a company that values its employees and offers a range of career development programs, community service support, and social events. The company is looking for an Associate Power Systems Developer to join its multi-disciplinary team.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, BSEE with Power Systems Emphasis, Mathematics or related technical field
- Understanding of power systems concepts in generation, transmission, distribution, distributed energy resources (DER)/DER integration and/or outage management
- Proficiency with analytical tools, e.g., MATLAB, PSLF, CYME, PowerWorld or other similar tools
- Exposure to Transient Switching studies using EMTP/EMTDC/PSCAD or equivalent software
- Proficiency in C, C++ and/or C# coding (school or work setting)
- Advanced degree (MS, PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering with Power Systems Emphasis, Mathematics or related technical field
- Demonstrated understanding/application of knowledge in areas of power flow, state estimation, DER control and network optimization
- Knowledge of high voltage Electrical Power Systems
- Experience developing software in a commercial setting using C, C++ and/or C#
