Project Engineer I

AspenTech is seeking a Project Engineer I to support the delivery of real-time control systems for leading energy utilities across India, SEA, MENA, and other global markets. The role involves contributing across the full project lifecycle, from system design and integration to testing, documentation, and commissioning.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in SCADA systems, industrial automation, or grid control solutions
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics & Communication, or related engineering field
• Familiarity with utility protocols (IEC104, IEC101, DNP3, Multispeak, IEC 61850) and ICCP integration concepts
• Working knowledge of RDBMS tools (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL), ODBC, and reporting tools
• Exposure to software configuration, system integration, and testing in live environments
• Understanding of operating systems, networking, and system architecture fundamentals
• Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel and deliver to timeline
• Willingness to travel (usually upto 25%) to domestic and international customer sites
• Understanding of software project delivery lifecycles
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming (C#, Python, or similar scripting experience); SQL knowledge
• Familiarity with networking principles (TCP/IP, routing)
• Interest in working on mission-critical utility systems
