Job Description
We are looking for a Senior C++ Developer for our AspenTech Subsurface Science & Engineering business unit, which produces software for the exploration and production of natural resources like oil, gas, mining, and geothermal. The role involves supporting applications with advanced 3D graphics methods, interactive data manipulation, algorithms, and sophisticated UI, with a focus on the scientific and computational side.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Applied Math, Physics, Geophysics, Geology, Reservoir/Petroleum engineering
- 5+ years of experience in a software development role focusing on C++
- Proven practical experience of development in Linux and Windows environments
- Fluent English
- Autonomy, curiosity, learning mindset
- Good OOP knowledge / design patterns
- Experience in Python or scripting
- Experience in Oil & Gas or scientific fields
