Job Description
AspenTech is looking for a Senior Project Engineer to work on various projects to implement and improve control systems and provide customer support. The role involves designing, planning, integrating, testing, and commissioning hardware and software requirements on customer SCADA systems, providing technical sales support, and providing customer support and assistance per contract maintenance and warranty.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering or related technical field
- Minimum of 5+ years of project engineering/management work experience
- Ability to travel up to 20%
- Experience in one or more of the following: SCADA, power systems, electric utility operations/dispatch, real-time control systems, client/server applications, network communications, UNIX / Linux / Windows operating systems, experience in software programming and scripting (Python, C / C++)
- Experience in Databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Mongo, Cassandra), JSON, and experience with common utility protocols (ICCP, DNP, MultiSpeak)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task on several projects in parallel in a fast-paced environment
