Job Description
OpenAI is seeking a hands-on Applied Data Science & Machine Learning Leader to build and scale forecasting platforms. This role involves designing and managing a team of data scientists and engineers, collaborating with Strategic Finance teams, and translating technical outputs into business-aligned recommendations. The position is based in San Francisco and offers a hybrid work model.
Requirements
- Extensive experience building production-ready models for time series applications
- Proven track record of building adjustable and explainable forecast models
- 10+ years of applied data science & engineering experience
- Demonstrated experience with model monitoring, debugging, and long-term maintenance
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills
- Team leadership experience with a track record of building high-performing, engaged teams
