Systems Engineer

The Optiver Linux Systems Engineering Team is seeking a Systems Engineer to help build pioneering tools and maintain our trading servers. As a Systems Engineer, you will work in a highly-customized bare metal environment and be expected to help build the tools to keep our systems best-in-class.

Requirements

• Experience in designing, deploying and supporting large scale Linux/Unix server environments
• Good knowledge of Linux Kernel internals
• Solid coding skills in Python
• Experience within a high-performance computer environment
• Infrastructure-as-Code with an Ansible flavor
• Knowledge of virtualization and networking
• A proactive approach to problem solving
• Ability to clearly explain thoughts through written and verbal communication
