Job Description
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is seeking a Data Center Technician to provide hardware installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance at large scale. This role involves working in a 24/7 environment, building, maintaining, and troubleshooting network infrastructure, including servers, cabling, and fiber optic cables. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and be willing to work independently and within a team.
Requirements
- Knowledge of server/storage/network hardware
- Strong interest in learning new DC concepts
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- 3+ years working in an IT environment
- Experience solving problems on servers, networking devices and IT equipment
- Inventory management experience
- Experience raising issues to Sr. onsite staff and management
- IT Hardware Concepts knowledge (RAID, SAN, SCIS, Linux/Unix, GRUB)
- Knowledge of trunk infrastructure
- 2-year or 4-year degree or 3+ Years of experience
