The Coordinator - Remote & Indigenous Services role is a key member of the Operations Team, responsible for managing remote and indigenous services across Australia. The role requires strong communication skills, experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, and a strong understanding of their cultural needs.
Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar role within a fast-paced organisation, ideally in the not-for-profit sector and working with diverse stakeholders
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and their leaders, respecting traditional culture, values, and ways of doing business
- Exceptional relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated understanding of the health, social and emotional wellbeing needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
- Ability to maintain quality and consistency of service, safety, and culture throughout the services in your designated region
- Excellent administration, time management skills, and the ability to manage complex and competing demands and meet deadlines
- High-level cognitive flexibility; able to rapidly reassess risks, actions, and resources when faced with sudden changes
- Physical and mental endurance required for multi-day deployments in challenging geographical locations
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
