Job Description
Orbex are looking for Additive Manufacturing Technician (3D Printing Operator) to join our cutting-edge manufacturing team. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining metal Additive Manufacturing (AM) systems, particularly Laser Powder Bed Fusion (L-PBF) machines, to produce highly precise, space-grade components such as rocket engines.
Requirements
- Operating and maintaining metal additive manufacturing machines (L-PBF)
- Preparing process chambers, launch builds, and tracking consumable levels
- Performing build extraction, de-powdering, and post-processing tasks
- Following work orders, specifications, and test instructions
- Using ERP and MES systems to complete production orders and record operational data
- Conducting measurements and inspections using metrology tools and software
- Performing routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Collaborating within a team-oriented environment
