Job Description
Orbex is seeking an experienced Harness Design Engineer to join their AIT Team, focusing on the design, development, integration, and validation of electrical wiring and interconnect systems for launch vehicles. The role involves ensuring compliance with industry standards, supporting assembly, integration, and testing activities. Orbex emphasizes safety, reliability, and teamwork.
Requirements
- Design and create detailed wiring design with 2D schematics and 3D routing.
- Ensure compliance with IPC/WHMA-A-620/ECSS-Q-ST standards.
- Define and select connectors, cables, shields, and grounding with appropriate protections.
- Support with overall system architecture.
- Generate BOM, wiring diagrams, pin-out diagrams, and assembly drawings.
- Coordinate with other departments.
- Perform harness validation checks and integrity checks.
