Job Description
Orbex is seeking a Senior CAD Technician to support the design and drafting of launch vehicles and other equipment. This hands-on role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary engineers and high-quality 3D models, with a focus on precision and attention to detail. The role is based in Forres, Scotland, supporting teams in both the UK and Denmark.
Requirements
- Develop accurate 3D models of components and assemblies.
- Manage and maintain large assemblies within the PDM system.
- Generate 2D technical drawings to support production and procurement.
- Ensure compliance with Orbex manufacturing and drawing standards.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of BOMs and mass tracking documentation.
- Proven ability to manage large assemblies efficiently
- High CAD proficiency with software like SOLIDWORKS, CATIA, and NX
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
