Mechanical Engineer - Robotic Power Tools

Origin is building general-purpose autonomous robots for US construction to tackle rising costs, safety risks, and labor shortages. As a Mechanical Engineer - Robotic Power Tools, you will design and assemble power tools for robot arms, bridge the gap between standard tools and robotic end-effectors, and collaborate with the tooling team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of professional experience in mechanical design and product development.
• Strong proficiency in CAD Tools (Onshape or equivalent) and creating 2D manufacturing drawings.
• Solid understanding of basic statics, dynamics, and mechanics of materials.
• Thorough knowledge of standard manufacturing processes (CNC milling, turning, sheet metal).
• Exceptional hands-on skills: You should be completely comfortable using shop tools (drill presses, bandsaws, grinders) and hand tools.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
