Job Description
Pratt Miller, an Oshkosh company, is seeking a Quality Intern - Summer 2026 to apply existing skill sets to ensure that parts are manufactured to the proper specifications and provide problem solving support. The intern will work individually or with a small team of engineers/inspection technicians on projects in motorsports, automotive, defense, and commercial industries.
Requirements
- Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to the following areas: First article, in process, and final inspection of parts using a variety of metrology equipment
- Working with manufacturing, engineering, customer, and/or supplier personnel in problem solving efforts
- Interpretation of engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
- Measuring instruments used for inspections
- Common manufacturing processes to produce parts, such as machining, metal fabrication, welding, heat treating, etc.
- Technical writing skills for reports and specifications using MS Word and Excel; good platform skills using PowerPoint for presentations
