Job Description
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will lead and inspire a team to improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance product quality in a rolling steel plant in Lewistown, PA. This role involves providing technical assistance, analyzing layouts, developing work measurement analysis, recommending equipment upgrades, and managing new product manufacturing.
Requirements
- Technical assistance to manufacturing departments regarding machinery, tooling, and fixture quality.
- Liaison between production and engineering, developing engineering change notices and process specifications.
- Analysis, evaluation, and establishment of optimal plant and work-station layouts.
- Implementation of work measurement analysis (MYM, Most, Time Study, Ease).
- Justification of new equipment based on labor and material savings.
- Manufacturing process improvement of new and existing products.
- Travel to vendor meetings and conferences.
