Job Description
This position requires a Traffic Signal Inspector to monitor and inspect traffic signal installation and maintenance, ensuring adherence to plans, specifications, and code requirements. Inspectors will troubleshoot, evaluate, and upgrade equipment, report issues, and maintain documentation. The role involves independent evaluation of traffic signals and street lighting systems, as well as public communication and coordination with various departments.
Requirements
- 5 years of Journeyman experience as a Highway Transportation System Electrician
- Must have the ability to independently troubleshoot and evaluate maintenance and repair needs of traffic signal equipment and related devices
- Must be able to read and interpret plans and specifications for traffic signal and street lighting projects
- Ability to inspect and direct Contractors on the proper placement of traffic controls
- Ability to respond to complaints and inquiries from the public.
- Preparation of inspection reports and documentation
