Applications Engineer - Plasma Etching

We are seeking an Applications Engineer to join our team in Bristol, UK. The successful candidate will develop and enhance processes tailored for our customers, working closely with the Applications Team to contribute to novel process development. The role involves liaising with customers, Product managers, and sales teams, as well as carrying out research and networking with the wider technical community.

Requirements

• Process a wide variety of samples for customers and the applications team using a range of Oxford Instruments etch tools and techniques.
• Work closely with the Applications Team to contribute to novel process development in support of customers and new product development.
• Liaise with customers, Product managers and the sales teams, and extract information on product performance requirements in order to produce satisfactory samples and validate hardware specifications.
• Carry out research and networking with the wider technical community to ensure our plasma products are at the leading edge of development.
• Support field process acceptances worldwide on an occasional basis when experienced in relevant processes.
• Develop an excellent working knowledge of the technology to facilitate fault finding and root cause analysis on processing results.
• Assist Customer support teams in 8D activities and field support teams in Acceptance activities as required.
