Job Description
Pace has over 40 years of heavy-duty truck and trailer industry experience and is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician (Level II or Level III) for a traveling mechanic position. The position involves working with clients and customers to assess their needs, providing information or assistance, resolving their problems, and satisfying their expectations. The role also requires driving to worksites to diagnose and complete complex repairs on heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
Requirements
- Strong professionalism when working cohesively with all customers
- Ability to work with no direct on-site supervision
- Ability to make effective judgments to prioritize workload and time allocation
- Ability to carry out full diagnostics using diagnostic tools on different product types
- Experience using Cummins Insite Diagnostic Tool
- Experience performing all work within Standard Repair Times (SRTs)
- Ability to properly use parts books, services manuals, and QuickServe online
- Experience using Cummins EDS System
- State Certified Diesel Mechanic Certification highly preferred
- Post-Secondary Certificate or training as a Diesel Technician
- Cummins Certified Master Diesel Technician / Mechanic preferred
- Experience with Ottawa/Kalmar products
