Senior Underwriting Consultant

We're seeking a Senior Underwriting Consultant to join our Consumer Markets Division. As an Underwriting Consultant, you'll play a key role in evaluating insurance applicants and determining whether to accept, modify or decline applications. You'll focus on mortality by evaluating risk of death, including history, degree of medical maintenance, treatment, and flags of potential future risk.

Requirements

• 7-10+ years of Life Insurance Underwriting experience with proven proficiency in underwriting processes and philosophies
• Ability to handle advanced decision level authorities without a co-signature ($2.5 Million or higher)
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships both internally and externally
• Critical thinking skills and attention to detail with the ability to quickly identify information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events
