The EHS Manager is responsible for safety strategy and development of safety policies and practices. The incumbent is responsible for providing and promoting a workplace focused on compliance with all Federal, State and Local Industrial Standards.
Requirements
- BS degree in safety, industrial hygiene, or environmental related discipline
- 5+ years experience in EHS or related field
- Certification preferred (CIH, CSP, and/or CHP)
- Demonstrated computer literacy with knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state-specific regulations
- Experience with hazardous materials, air permits, and environmental reporting
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to function under pressure and able to prioritize numerous tasks with conflicting deadlines
- Ability to respond to emergencies and work flexible hours as needed
