School Social Work Graduate Student Trainee (CES)

The School Social Work Graduate Student Trainee (CES) is an internship position that provides students with the opportunity to gain experience in school social work. The trainee will support with individual and small group counseling, attendance, classroom interventions, and case management. The position requires a 20-hour commitment, with flexibility in internship days and times. The trainee will receive supervision and training, including individual and group supervision, meetings with preceptors, and bi-monthly trainings.

Requirements

• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• English proficiency supporting professional-level verbal and written communication to children, parents and other staff members required
• BA / BS Degree
• Concurrent enrollment in a graduate degree program
• Successfully pass all post offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, drug test and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
• Current certification in CPR/First Aid
• Pass a livescan, drug screening and TB test
• Reliable transportation and State required automobile insurance coverage and valid Class C California driver’s license
• Approximately 50% of time is spent sitting, while frequently required to walk, stand and bend
