Entry Level Deckhand-Decatur Fleet

Parker Towing Company is hiring for deckhands with a steersman program, tankerman program, and senior chief engineering program. This is an entry-level position where candidates start as deckhands and can advance to higher-level roles. The position is 14 days on-site and 7 days at home, with a 12-hour workday, and requires living within 35 minutes of the Decatur, AL fleet.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Live within 35 minutes of Decatur, AL
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to pass US Coast Guard physical requirements
• Ability to pass US Coast Guard drug screen
• Ability to understand and complete verbal and written orders
• Ability to work various weekends and holidays
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
