Job Description
As a Foster/Resource Parent Mentor, you will provide direct support and training to parents and caregivers in navigating systems of care for youth impacted by trauma. You'll work with Caregivers to develop positive relationships and empower them to succeed while utilizing motivational interviewing and collaborative problem-solving techniques. This role is client-driven and delivered in a community setting, often with variable hours.
Requirements
- Must be willing and able to drive up to one (1) hour to meet with clients.
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- One (1) year of relevant experience (additional education may substitute for years of experience)
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and auto insurance
- Ability to pass fingerprinting and background checks
