Job Description
PayPal is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead project coordination, technical tasks, and process improvements. The role involves collaborating with management, representing the company to external partners, and improving existing structures and processes. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience and a Bachelor's degree, with a strong background in Android development, REST services, and continuous integration.
Requirements
- Acts as a project or system leader, coordinating the activities of other engineers on the project or within the system
- Determines the technical tasks that other engineers will follow
- Proactively improves existing structures & processes
- Collaborates with management to set/improve standards for engineering rigor
- Trusted to represent PayPal, Inc to the outside world via interactions with partners, customers, or industry organizations
