Job Description
This Sr. Mechanic/Electrician position at Francisco, IN is a safety-sensitive role within the maintenance department. The ideal candidate will perform electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic repairs on underground mining equipment. They will also maintain equipment to meet MSHA requirements and conduct routine maintenance. The role focuses on ensuring safety standards and communication within the company.
Requirements
- Current MSHA electrical certification (high, medium, low voltage, underground) – specify certifications.
- 1+ year underground mining experience.
- Knowledge of State and Federal mining regulations (e.g., electrical permissibility).
- Demonstrated welding and fabrication skills.
- Troubleshooting skills on sections and outby equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50-70 pounds.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Safe work habits & attitude.
