Job Description
Peraton is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to join their team to advance the safety, efficiency, and modernization of the National Airspace System (BNATCS) contract. The role involves embedding security, automation, and scalability into software development and system operations, supporting the FAA through the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) by ensuring systems are delivered with speed, resilience, and compliance. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain in-depth experience in federal contracting while supporting high-visibility aviation programs.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship
- Public Trust clearance
- Bachelor’s degree and 12-14 years of experience
- Strong proficiency with DevOps, DevSecOps, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or CircleCI)
- Knowledge of scripting/programming languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Hands-on experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)
- Knowledge of federal security standards (NIST RMF, FedRAMP, Zero Trust)
- Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and key management services
- Knowledge of logging and monitoring platforms (Splunk, ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Familiarity with API security and secure software development practices
- Direct FAA or NAS configuration management experience (preferred)
