Software Development Engineer

Peraton is seeking a Software Development Engineer to support the NOAA AWIPS program, a mission-critical system used by National Weather Service meteorologists to visualize data, track severe weather, and issue public warnings.

Requirements

• Designs, develops, tests, and maintains software applications supporting mission-critical systems.
• Write, test, and maintain software in languages such as Java, Python, C++, or similar
• Develop APIs, services, and integration components
• Support code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and documentation
• Collaborate with systems, QA, and Cloud teams during development cycles.
