Senior Product Design Engineer

Persistent Systems, LLC is seeking a Senior Product Design Engineer to lead research and development of new and existing products, focusing on Wave Relay solutions for DOD customers. The role involves identifying customer needs, managing projects with both on-site and remote teams, and ensuring quality documentation. This position is based in New York City.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science or related field
• At least 7 years working as a Product Designer demonstrating powerful design thinking in both interaction and experience design
• At least 5 years of systems engineering and networking experience
• Defense Project Management Experience interfacing directly with customers for networking architecture solutions and product integration solutions
• Proven understanding of the end-to-end design process, including research, prototyping, usability testing
• Experience with complex systems development, evaluation and requirements capture
• Experience with electrical and mechanical interface requirements
• Experience in risk analysis and progress reporting
• Must be willing to travel up to 10% of the time
• Must have a United States security clearance or the ability to obtain a United States security clearance
