Veterinary Assistant / Vet Technician

NewDay Veterinary Care is seeking a skilled Veterinary Assistant/Technician to provide high-quality care to patients in a compassionate environment. Requirements

• At least six months of prior experience as a Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician
• Veterinary Technician licensure (RVT, LVT, CVT) preferred
• Must have surgery and dental experience
• Lab, medical records, and SOAP knowledge
• Ability to read fecal float, fecal direct, and ear/skin cytology
• Comfort with in-house hematology and chemistry equipment/reference lab
• Knowledge of basic canine/feline vaccines and basic vital signs
• Skilled in phlebotomy (cephalic and lateral saphenous, jugular; SQ, IM, and IV injections)
• Experience with dental prophylaxis
• Experience with anesthesia monitoring and recovery
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
