Senior Project Manager - San Francisco, CA, USA

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead projects within the Digital Modernization efforts for the Fortune 500 companies. The role involves managing projects, budgeting, financial planning, quality control, communication, and mentoring. The ideal candidate will have experience in complex projects and strong leadership skills.

Requirements

• Performs all of the project manager duties plus
• Uses established project management methodologies/tools, work with team to successfully manage complex scopes of work.
• Plans, monitors, and tracks delivery of quality control and takes corrective action as appropriate
• Develops project policy, procedures and standards
• Communicates project information to all project team members, sponsors, vendors and IT managers
• Reviews, assesses and communicates quality assurance planning to team members
• Develops project quality control policy and procedures and communication plans
• Plans and executes pre and post implementation
• Anticipates strategic impact to projects (inter dependencies to/from other projects)
• Coordinates with appropriate parties
• Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
• Reduces budget issues and issues to a program manager
• Demonstrates good judgment and depth of experience in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
• Thorough understanding of project and the cause and effect of team decisions
• Recommends project strategy
• Decisions may impact external relationships, organizational performance/success and company’s reputation in the industry
• Orchestrates across multiple areas meetings
• Builds effective partnerships with, and between, the developers, architects, QA Team and product managers
• Recommends project strategy
• Under general direction for both day to day work, but receives general instructions on new assignments
• Participates in recruiting and hiring of team members
• Negotiates with Business, Development, and Testing managers
• Identifies and maintains sensitive and confidential project and corporate information
• May mentor other project managers
• May mentor other project managers
