Job Description
Pickle is seeking a dynamic and driven Senior Firmware Engineer - Safety Systems to revolutionize warehouse automation with their revolutionary material-handling robots. This role focuses on implementing and maintaining safety features to protect robots, workers, and materials, and will leverage Python to build robust firmware for safety PLCs and systems. The engineer will collaborate with hardware, software, and safety teams to ensure seamless integration of safety components.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional experience in firmware development with safety-critical systems
- Experience implementing safety communications via PROFIsafe, CIP Safety, CAN Safety, Ethernet/IP Safety, and other safety-rated protocols.
- Deep knowledge of safety standards such as ISO 13849, IEC 62046, ANSI B11, ANSI RIA R15.
- Proficiency in developing safety-critical applications with Python
- Extensive experience with safety-rated real-time operating systems (RTOS) and safety PLCs
