The Field Mechanic position works at various locations and requires experience in engine diagnostics, chassis, and hydraulic systems. The position may also require travel to another state depending on customer demands.
Requirements
- Requires 2 years of experience in heavy on road/off road equipment repair.
- Able to perform rigorous physical labor.
- Must have or be able to obtain a class A CDL permit/license within the first 90 days of employment.
- Must have own basic tools required to perform equipment repairs.
- Must be able to perform work in most if not all the following areas:
- Hydraulics
- Diesel/Gas Engines
- Steering Systems
- Drive Train
- HVAC
- Welding/Metal Fabrication
- Air/Hydraulic Brake Systems
- Electrical Systems
- Must know or be able to learn how to use computers for:
- Diagnostics
- Parts Inventory Management
- Work Orders
- Telematics
- Certifications or experiences in any of the following would be a plus:
- ASE Certifications
- Ford, Cummins, Paccar, Navistar, CAT, John Deere, Kubota, Detroit, Allison
- Altec/Terex Aerial Devices
- Fluid Power Certification
- 2-year Diesel College Degree
- Able to travel long distances on short notice, when required.
- Able to work for extended periods in various locations, when required.
- Able to lift more than 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work outside, frequently in inclement weather
- Willing to work outside of the normal work schedule including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required for the position.
