Job Description
Pilot is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to build products that solve meaningful problems for startups and small businesses, providing real-time insights into their financial health. The team uses a stack of Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Vue.js, Terraform, Docker, ECS, and Postgres. The role involves building, testing, and deploying software, working with PMs and Product Designers, and mentoring teammates.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience as a software engineer
- Experience with Python in production
- Able to work collaboratively across functions
- Strong written, verbal, and technical communication skills
- Able to write well-structured, well-tested, and maintainable code
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and teach others
- Experience with specialties or backgrounds in accounting, fintech, and related fields
