Design and fabricate efficient tooling to maximize efficiencies on the production lines. Collaborate with tooling supervisor, production support, and other production leaders to ensure specifications are accurate and quality meet customer requirements and expectations.
Requirements
- Designs and fabricates tooling to maximize load density and efficiency while ensuring safety of all personnel and quality of the customers' product is maintained.
- Collaborates with production and direct supervisor to determine daily priorities, maintenance schedules, and procedures for special tooling and basic production needs.
- Understands how to use basic hand tools and specialized equipment such as drills, welding equipment, grinders, and various cutting tools and equipment, as well as measuring tools.
- Partners with quality in the development of SOPs and participates in cost reduction by notifying appropriate personnel of irregularities and machine malfunctions.
