Engineering Manager - Intelligent Tooling

Plaid is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Intelligent Tooling team, responsible for building and growing the team, developing AI-powered developer tooling, and driving organization-wide adoption of AI tooling. The successful candidate will have 8-10+ years of engineering experience, 3+ years of team management experience, and a strong technical background in AI and developer tooling.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of engineering experience
• 3+ years of experience managing and scaling engineering teams
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools, agentic workflows, or LLM-powered developer systems
• Strong technical judgment with depth in at least one of: developer tooling / DX platforms, infrastructure or platform engineering, or applied AI systems in production
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
