Plaisted Companies is looking for a dependable Heavy Equipment Mechanic to help keep our pit equipment running safely, efficiently, and ready for production. If you take pride in diagnosing problems, making quality repairs, and keeping a clean, organized shop, we’d like to meet you.
Requirements
- Repair and service heavy equipment and vehicles assigned to you (Equipment includes Wheel loaders, Packers/Rollers, Dozers, Excavators, Conveyer Belts, Haul Trucks, Screen Decks, Wash Plants)
- Perform diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and routine inspections
- Identify additional issues before they become costly breakdowns
- Maintain a clean, safe work area and properly store tools/equipment daily
- Work in compliance with OSHA/MSHA standards
- Track parts/materials used and record labor daily
- Support shop and pit operations as needed
