Senior Electrical Engineer

Join Planet's small, dedicated team driving the design and end-to-end production of Planet’s cutting-edge satellite constellation. You will own the process, from concept to flight, optimizing for medium-scale mass production. This is a full-time, hybrid role which will require you to work from our San Francisco office 3 days per week.

Requirements

• Electrical design of analog, power, thermal and mixed signal subsystems from requirements through architecture and detailed design
• Schematic capture, power/signal integrity simulations; guide and review layout design
• Harness design including selection of components, signal definition, coordinating with mechanical engineering to define lengths, and generating fabrication drawings
• Oversight of design validation and qualification campaigns including power / signal integrity, EMI / EMC, interoperability, etc...
• Analog and mixed signal design including interfaces to thermal systems, sensors and actuators
• Support for manufacturing and systems teams around electrical subsystem integration
