Medical Assistant I - South Bay/Lawndale, CA

Planned Parenthood Los Angeles is seeking a Medical Assistant I to work full-time at their South Bay Health Center. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical and customer service skills, and experience in a clinical setting. Responsibilities include supporting functions in the delivery of reproductive health care services, assisting patients with testing and education, and providing non-judgmental, empathetic education and communication on options for patients.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Medical Assistant Diploma/Certificate
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• At least one to two years experience in a clinical setting
• Venipuncture and Injection training
• Reproductive health care experience desirable
• Knowledge of surgical services preferred
