Manager, Public Affairs

PLUS Communications is seeking an Austin-based Public Affairs Manager to develop and execute communications plans, integrating public affairs, corporate communications, and digital strategies. This role will involve writing press releases, talking points, and client presentations, alongside project management and stakeholder liaison. They aim to distill complex policy issues into easily digestible messaging.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of experience in public affairs or communications, ideally in an agency or Texas Legislature setting.
• Proven experience in writing and editing materials and working with the press.
• Strong understanding of AP Style.
• Interest in public affairs and policy issues, and ability to synthesize technical content.
• Understanding of the communications landscape and various channels (digital, print, social, broadcast).
